Dr. James Chao is a pediatric dentist dedicated to providing compassionate, expert dental care for children. Originally from Taiwan, Dr. James moved to the United States and grew up in California. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD).

Following dental school, Dr. James completed a General Practice Residency at the U.S. Navy Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He proudly served as a dental officer in the United States Navy, with assignments in Okinawa, Japan, and Oceanside, California. His passion for working with children led him to complete a pediatric dentistry residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center—widely recognized as one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals.

Now settled in Cincinnati, Dr. James and his wife are proud parents of twin girls, their greatest joy. Outside the clinic, Dr. James enjoys camping and cooking for his family and friends, making the most of their time together in the great outdoors. And Dr. James love playing board game like Ticket to Ride, Apiary, and CATAN.
